It all comes down to the Closing Event!

Just like on the PGA Tour, it’s a mad dash to the season ending Sentinel Maintenance Player of the Year Playoff. With the Closing Event this coming weekend, the 125 points to the winner become even more precious. Anybody in the top 21 in the Player of the Year standings has a chance to make the playoff.

Those 125 points and the 80, 70, 60 and 50 points, for second through fifth places in the Closing Event, will create an exciting end to the regular season to be one of the final eight players in the playoff. This year, the Sterling Farms Men’s Club Player of the Year race has been one of the most competitive. Each week members were in and out of the top eight and everyone was constantly jockeying to be one of the eight. If you are in positions 9-21, and didn’t sign up for the Closing Event, you have missed your ticket to the final playoff round that a strong showing in the event could have punched!

The Closing Event is shaping up to be the most exciting in years with many players wanting to get into the final spots in the playoff. The weather looks like it will test us all as it’s going to be cold and there looks to be rain in the forecast. Hey, if you want to be in the playoff, it can’t be that easy, right?
