’Tis the season to be jolly…with golf! That’s right. The snows have melted. The days have grown longer. It’s time to visit sterlingfarmsmc.com to sign up for the Sterling Farms Men’s Club! As always, our goal is to provide fair, honest competition to all of our members, no matter what their handicap level. We offer free events every weekend from late March into early October. Just sign the board and play with at least one other member to participate. We offer approximately $300 in pro shop credit every week. It couldn’t be easier or more fun! Your membership to SFMC also entitles you to: –Handicap and GHIN # This year, we’ll continue to offer the $50 Player of the Month prize! That means we’ll pay $50 to the guy who accumulates the most POY points in any given month–April, May, June, July, August, September. That’s in addition to the yearlong POY prizes! Remember, first place in the Player of the Year race is worth $250 bucks…$200 for second. So make sure you start racking up those POY points early and often. Also, please thank Marc Schultz and his team at Sentinel Maintenance for sponsoring all Player of the Year events. Last year we developed a New Member’s List that turned out to be very popular. If you’re a new member and want to meet more guys (or if you’re a veteran member but still want to meet more guys) simply ask to be added to the list. We’ll distribute your name and email address to every other guy on the list. That way, whether you’re looking for a game or a foursome, you’ll have a resource at the ready. (I’ll send out a separate email on this point in a couple of weeks.) For you Twitter users, try the hashtag #sterlingfarmsmc. Use it for all conversations related to the Men’s Club. And don’t forget our Facebook page. Type in Sterling Farms Men’s Club Facebook and you’ll find it. (Neither one of these social media outlets gets much use, but if you’re looking to meet new guys, hey, you never know. They might work.) We continue to keep prices as low as possible to encourage players to join the club and participate in as many events as possible. Please take advantage of all that we offer!
