June 2, 2025: 2025 Member/Member Final Results
Our annual Member Member Tournament was played this past Saturday, May 31st. This event is played in honor of our membership which is now 367 members strong this year. It is with the support of you and our sponsors (Sentinel Maintenance, Park Ford of Mahopac, Active Dog, Pensiero Refuse, Holiday Inn Express of New Rochelle, Rubino Bros Inc.,, Coromandel Cuisine of India, BTU Systems, Ocean North Pools, and OpenTeeBox.golf) that makes our club so special and a tight knit community within a large city like Stamford. This event would also not have been possible without the help and support of Angela Aulenti & her elite pro shop staff, Bekim Ukperaj & his staff, Mike Golden & his staff, and Ari Thanos & his staff at the Royal Green. We sincerely thank you and the SGA for supporting us and making our event a success despite all the nasty weather we had to endure!
Crowned champions include Ted Blackinton (not pictured) & Enrico Miozzo who won Low Gross along with Alex Lionetti and his grandson Lorenzo Scorziello who won Low Net!

May 15, 2025: Summer Rules
Starting Friday, May 16, 2025, Summer Rules are in effect. This means that you must play the ball down…as it lies. No more rolling it over in the fairway or on the fringes of the greens.
Additionally, I would like to remind you of our local bunker rule which is you must play the ball down in the bunker as it lies unless your ball ends up in a foot print. If your ball ends up in a foot print, you will get free relief which entails lift, clean & place within the length of a scorecard, no closer to the hole. If your ball is a fried egg, play it as it lies. If your ball is a fried egg in a foot print, you get relief. The majority of your playing group must agree on the relief for foot prints.
We ask that everyone do their part to take care of the course. That means replace and fill divots, repair ball marks, and rake the traps after you play your shot. Taking care of the course will bring good karma. Let the SFMC set the example and not be the example…Mike and Bek will be happy if we do!
